Aikido is a modern, non-violent, non-aggressive Japanese martial art. It was developed early 20th century by Morihei Ueshiba, based on traditional budo and his life experience. The efficiency of the technique is not a goal but a consequence of a practice oriented toward a deeper transformation.
Technique is used over strength to immobilize single to multiple opponents through pinning or throwing techniques. It improves agility, balance and awareness. We practice safely on mats. It includes wooden weapons.
The body is developped by both masterizing techniques and by learning how to proctect oneself against powerful techniques.
